To Yourself Be True in 2022

We are in the season of fresh starts, new beginnings, resolutions and intentions. The commitments we make to ourselves at the start of a new year vary greatly from person-to-person, but they all have a common root - the desire to make our lives the best that we can. When first starting out with an exercise routine, it feels easy to commit because the motivation is strong. But after a few weeks, that motivation fades. This is the point where most fitness goals are lost. It’s easy to give up when motivation fades. That’s where discipline and routine come in. Yoga with @onepeloton, @annagreenberg, and Raz 😸. Yoga is always better with a fluff nugget! Finally harvesting my first little batch of peas! These went into a sweet and sour chickpea dish that I served over a bed of brown rice. I made this creamy polenta with red wine mushrooms from @rabbitandwolves and it was SOOOO delish! As for the parsley I sprinkled on top to make the photo pretty - 0% recommend! Not a good flavor with this dish 😆 Happy Cinco de Mayo! I can’t believe how fast the lettuce took off once it started getting into the 70s! I normally like to pick it and leave the roots so it can keep growing until it starts to bolt, but I have so much that I had to thin it out before I got overwhelmed! It’s May!!! Here in Southeast Missouri (zone 6b), that means the summer veg is ready to go out. I planted tomatoes, bell peppers, green beans and herbs in my small garden. I have the perfect solution for when you don’t want to wreck your healthy streak, but your sweet tooth needs some major satisfying! This chocolate mug cake is 🔥, fully plant-based, and no sugar except in the sprinkling of chocolate chips on top. If you want to go 100% sugar-free, simply sub in some Lily’s baking chips sweetened with stevia. The first greenhouse cover I purchased two years ago has finally reached the end of its useful life. I reached out to the seller on Amazon to see if I could get a replacement cover and they sent me a new one for $30.
